Happy World Thinking Day!
On this day each year, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from 146 countries take time out of their busy schedules to come together as a global sisterhood celebrating a particular theme. I am excited that this year’s theme, Connect, encourages Girl Scouts and Girl Guides to celebrate the connections that make their lives to special.
The sisterhood of Girl Scouting is so amazing—we are connected with 2.7 million incredible human beings around the world, and that deserves to be celebrated! On this World Thinking Day, I encourage all to take time to connect with others, whether it is with their fellow Girl Scouts and Girl Guides across the globe, their friends and family, and even connect and learn more about themselves.
To celebrate World Thinking Day, I am excited to share that Girl Scout Raeven from Milford and I will connect with Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro to learn more about Raeven’s Gold Award Project. We are extremely lucky to have Congresswoman DeLauro as our Spokesperson for the Gold Award Centennial, and to have the opportunity to hear more about Raeven’s Gold Award Project, which focused on inspiring younger generations to connect with different cultures and the world around them.
So, whether it is messaging a fellow Girl Scout in a different state, or a different country, or getting together with your troop to explore the world around you, make some time to connect and celebrate World Thinking Day!
Yours in Girl Scouting,
